[AIP-XXX] Disable the AURA Minter

Summary

This proposal seeks to permanently disable the AURA minter by transferring ownership of the minter to the zero address. Once executed, no further AURA supply can be minted, effectively enforcing fixed supply going forward.

Background

As of Jun 5 2025, the AURA minter contract regained the technical ability to mint additional AURA following the conclusion of the inflation-protection period. While this is expected behavior, the continued presence of minting functionality is no longer necessary for the protocol. Disabling the minter at this stage is a straightforward housekeeping step to simplify the system and align it with the intended fixed-supply model.

Given the long-term interests of the protocol and its community, permanently revoking minting rights aligns incentives and commits to supply discipline.

Proposal

We propose to:

  1. Set the owner of the AURA minter contract to the zero address (i.e., 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000).
  2. This action will irrevocably remove the ability for any account (including current administrators) to call mint functions.

Vote Options

  • FOR — Renounce ownership of the AURA minter (transfer to zero address), disabling any future minting.
  • AGAINST — Maintain current minter ownership and leave open the possibility to mint new AURA.
