[Delegate] Jameskbh

Dear community,

I’m applying to become a Delegate! Here is more info about me:

Name: Jameskbh

Discord username/TG username: jameskbh#1322 / @jameskbh

Twitter Account: twitter.com/@jameskbh

Delegation Address: jameskbh.eth (snapshot) or 0x714D8b5874b3a6a69f289f4e857F4C9670074296 (for Aura UI)

Introduction about Yourself: I’m Jameskbh, and currently an Aura Maxi. I’ve been around Defi since 2020, especially focused on tokenomics and governance (and a lot of yield-farming in the ol’good days). With the introduction of the weighted vote system, I felt it was the right time to apply to become a Vote Delegate for the Aura Community. I believe having more Delegates as part of our Governance System is important, and I will vote, if any member chooses, having Aura’s best interest in mind.

Explain why you would be a good delegate: I’m consistently monitoring the Balancer ecosystem looking for opportunities to bring more partners to Aura Protocol. That involves researching all info about new protocols, and being updated with all governance forums and proposals. I believe having more Delegates as part of our Governance System is important, and I will vote, if any member chooses me as delegate, having Aura’s best interest in mind.

State if you are involved with any other projects: Alephium, a sharded PoW
protocol.

Time Commitment/Week: As needed. I’m always online, so the time commitment is high.

Aura Governance Votes

[AIP-40] Gnosis Chain Deployment

Vote: Yes.

Rationale: This is another step towards a multi-chain Aura presence, and will help to consolidate Aura’s position as a top player in the Balancer ecosystem and bring more yield-generation opportunities for Gnosis Chain.

Balancer Governance Votes

[BIP-377] Enable yBAL / 80-20BAL-wETH [Ethereum]

Vote: Yes.

Rationale: This is a liquidity pool for yBAL and can drive trading volume to Balancer. The pool is capped at 2%.

[BIP-378] Re-Enable Overnight Pulse Gauge [Arbitrum]

Vote: Yes.

Rationale: Overnight is a protocol specializing in delta-neutral strategies. Overnight’s core product is USD+, a 100% collateralized yield-bearing stablecoin. In March 2022, [BIP-208] enabled Overnight Pulse a gauge for Overnight Pulse pool on Arbitrum. This is a request to re-enable the gauge.

[BIP-379] Enable Dola/USD+ Gauge [Arbitrum]

Vote: Yes.

Rationale: This is a pool of two stablecoins. USD+ from Overnight and DOLA form Inverse. The protocols will incentivize the pool, as they are aiming to bring all Arbitrum liquidity to it.

[BIP-380] Enable wstETH/rETH/cbETH Gauge [Arbitrum]

Vote: Yes.

Rationale: This is a pool to facilitate swaps between these three LSTs, attracting trading volume to Balancer on Arbitrum.

[BIP-381] Enable Aave Boosted USDC/USDC.e Gauge [Arbitrum]

Vote: Yes.

Rationale: This is a composable stable pool factory v5 and contains two separate linear pool tokens; bb-a-USDC and bb-a-USDC. These are Balancer’s AAVE-boosted Arbitrum native USDC and bridged USDC.

As Circle migrates from bridged to native USDC, several dexes offer the ability to swap between both assets, bringing in considerable volume.

[BIP-382] Enable bb-rf-usd Gauge [Optimism]

Vote: Abstain.

Rationale: It is unclear where the multi-strategy vaults allocate the funds and, with this added complexity, the choice was to abstain this time.

[BIP-383] Enable bb-rfWSTETH/bb-rfWBTC/bb-rfUSDC Gauge [Optimism]

Vote: Abstain.

Rationale: Rationale: It is unclear where the multi-strategy vaults allocate the funds and, with this added complexity, the choice was to abstain this time.

[BIP-384] Migrate Stafi rETH/WETH Gauge [Arbitrum]

Vote: Yes.

Rationale: Change of pool and gauge to upgrade the rate provider for the tokens, and all parameters will remain the same as the previous pool.

[BIP-385] Enable MAI-DOLA Gauge [Arbitrum]

Vote: No.

Rationale: There is a lot of uncertainty with bad debt positions, so this is not the best time to incentivize this pool.

[BIP-386] Allocate Base Incentives

Vote: Yes.

Rationale: This proposal asks for 50k USDC as launch incentives to kickstart Balancer’s presence on Base. The idea is to get a strong set of protocols in the beginning of the liquidity providing in this chain.

[BIP-387] Give Balancer Maxis ability to add 3rd party rewards to mainnet gauges

Vote: Yes.

Rationale: This grant permission to Bal Maxis to add 3rd parties pool rewards on gauges that are not in the veBAL system. This action is important to help to keep liquidity on Balancer that is not interested in using veBAL incentives.
